The primieval Whitecliffs boulders on the bank of the Rangitikei river near Ohingaiti, North Island, New Zealand are an amazing experience. They were formed millions of years ago under the sea and heaved up when Aoteoroa (New Zealand) was formed from the sea floor. They are known as cannonball concretions – the most famous of which are in Moeraki in the South Island although I think these are much more amazing.
