David, Jon and I went on a geocaching adventure today, that turned into a little more than we bargained for… While we originally thought we could drive very close to the "Deep Woods Bus" geocache, the road to it would have killed the Toyota Camry.
So while taking another route from the south on a road almost as bad, we drove until we could no longer and had a 2-mile hiking trek in. The last 1/2 mile was a total bushwack through a gorge, a swamp and very thick woods. Once we finally arrived, we found the geocache in this creepy bus. Hard to determine the age of the bus, but I’d guess it’s from the 60’s, and now sits strangely in the middle of the woods off of an old logging trail (which is also at least 5 miles from the nearest cell phone reception).
This is a 3-shot, 3-stop HDR of the bus from the back looking forward. At one point I thought for sure I would fall through the rusted floor while walking around in it.
