There are some things so puzzling that you will never forget them. The view from the end of this bench was not one of them, but just beyond this view was.
This little viewing area is located on the Willow Falls Trail at Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI. While approaching this opening in the trees, there was quite a bit of noise coming from the water, almost like pumps in the water circulating it very loudly. Once I could see the water, there was no pump, or any other man made devise making this commotion. It was large fish rolling in the shallows, making splashes and waves at a constant rate!
Every once in a while I could see a fin roll out of the water and waves would crash a few feet into the air. It was only in this one area (just beyond the dead tree in the picture and almost in the grass growing out of the water) and I was the only one around when I saw it, so I’m not sure it was even real! You’ll have to take my word for it!
