I went to photograph the clear crescent moon but could not get a good angle against this glass artwork. Perhaps next time.
This project is an integral part of the recent development of Maisonneuve Boulevard and des Allumettières Boulevard, undertaken in partnership with Ville de Gatineau. The installation of the artwork and the development of the public area are aimed at making the intersection a more welcoming space and creating a visual landmark. The work was selected through a national competition, by a jury that included a member of the community. Entitled Papa, it was created by Montréal artist and architect Hal Ingberg.
