Blogging is a useful tool. You may be a brilliant blogger with exceptional skills; but, you won’t be recognized by many unless you expose yourself to a wide range of audiences. How do you expose your blogging skills in front of a huge mass of audiences? Well, guest blogging is the way to go! Exhibit your writing skills in a unique way and impress as many readers as possible to emerge as a recognized writer.

Today, a lot of writers are getting into guest blogging. But, keep in mind, not everyone is successful. Only writers demonstrating master-class writing skills and a strong appetite for sharing something useful will emerge successful. Writing a guest post, which is to be read by thousands of readers is not that easy.

However, the following tips that I have shared in this post could help you come up with some winning guest posts in the near future.

1. Analyze your area of interest

It is one of the things that most writers fail to consider! Obviously everyone has expertise in specific domains. Choosing a topic on the field you are knowledgeable in will give an added advantage over other writers, and your content could easily attract numerous audiences.

Develop your reading habits to uncover different topics and present them in front of audiences.

2. Keep it clean

Start writing in a clear, precise and simple way. Don’t try to show off your vocabulary skills which forces most people to check the dictionary or other references. Most content that has made a great revelation in the market are extremely simple and plain, yet, without any grammatical and typographical errors.

Try not to include jargons in the content as they leave most readers perplexed. Don’t write for words but for meaning and purpose. Even a simple 200 words post can easily attract more than 5000 visitors rather a lengthy 1000 words article. So, keep your post clean and tidy.

3. Be creative and new

Writing content that is fresh and unique is the ideal way to stay in the hunt. No one on the Web loves plagiarized content and writing such content would never help you earn good reputation online. Don’t worry if your content is of low quality. You will improve at some point.

But writing a plagiarized content will completely bring disrepute to your business as well as to your name. Add some personal touch to the articles to make it more interesting and offer some solutions to make it useful for readers. Give it value over the competitor’s.

4. Share useful information

Let the information you share via blog posts be useful to many. Don’t write a topic that no one really likes or searches. Understand what exactly your readers expect from you. Follow different directories and blogs in order to get an idea over what kinds of blog posts people really love.

Come up with a post with plenty of information to anyone who reads it. Again uniqueness is the key to a winning guest post.

Remember, you are writing for another blog, whatever you write affects you as well as the other blog owners as well. So, make sure that you come up with reliable and solid content with surplus information.

5. Don’t write (Just) for back links

Don’t write any articles just for gaining back links. I won’t say back links are unimportant but writing useful content is the best way to improve back links rather than banking on too many articles of the same kind, and of similar keywords.

Once you have written several useful and high-quality content, you will eventually earn a following and a reputation among your followers. This will in turn improve the traffic to your site considerably. Focus on writing quality content rather than churning something generic, just to stuff in text links.

6. Try the right sites

This is another key trick that most writers often miss out! Many have ideas of trying to submit their articles in major blog sites like Mashable, TechCrunch, Engadget, etc. I don’t find any problem with this but getting in to write for them is not that easy. So, aim to write for them, but try out with smaller sites first.

In fact, start with lower-PR sites and earn some online reputation before submitting your posts to these more popular sites. Once you have the flow, consistency, and an idea of how guest blogging works, the greater the chances you have of getting your posts published in those sites.

7. Adhere to Their rules

When you are writing for other blog sites, obviously they will have some rules and conditions that they base on before approving your articles and submissions for publication on their blog. As you know, the articles affect both you and the blog so spend some time on the protocols imposed by them in order to come up with content that matches with their requirements.

Especially, check out the link exchange protocols they have set as it could play a vital role once your article goes live. Adhere to the conditions of other blog owners to help your blog post get published within a short amount of time. Everyone loves good content.

8. Follow your readers

Follow the readers! If you have written something useful your guest post would end up with numerous comments from various readers. Listen to their input. Sometimes, a few might give you some interesting clues which could help you improve your writing skills as well as to try something new.

Try to reply to their comments as it encourages and builds trust between the reader and you. Creating rapport with your readers as well as following them often is the key trick followed by most powerful writers online.
