The subway station Rathaus Reinickendorf is a station of the BVG line U8 of the Berlin subway and was opened on 29 September 1994 in the course of the north extension of the U8 to Wittenau.
The station has stone and escalators as well as an elevator so that it is barrier-free. The eponymous Rathaus Reinickendorf is located west of the north entrance at Eichborndamm. A special feature: it has an above-ground vestibule, which is located like a bridge over the north moat. Red bricks decorate the walls in the platform hall, natural stone blocks loosen them up. The central columns are red, white and black and the capital is yellow. Like the other U8 stations opened in 1994, this station was built according to a design by Rainer G. Rümmler.<
GER: Der Bahnhof hat eine sehr interessante Architektur sowie ein warmes Ambiente, dass rote Mauerwerk und das gedämmte Licht, gibt dem Bahnsteig beim warten auf den nächsten Zug eine gute Atmosphäre.
Der U-Bahnhof Rathaus Reinickendorf ist eine Station der BVG Linie U8 der Berliner U-Bahn und wurde am 29. September 1994 im Zuge der Nordverlängerung der U8 nach Wittenau eröffnet.
Der Bahnhof hat sowohl Stein- und Fahrtreppen als auch einen Aufzug, sodass er barrierefrei ist. Das namensgebende Rathaus Reinickendorf befindet sich westlich gegenüber dem Nordzugang am Eichborndamm. Eine Besonderheit: Er verfügt über eine oberirdische Vorhalle, die sich brückenartig über dem Nordgraben befindet. Rote Klinker zieren die Wände in der Bahnsteighalle, Natursteinblöcke lockern sie auf. Die Mittelstützen sind rot, weiß und schwarz sowie im Kapitell gelb. Wie auch die anderen 1994 eröffneten Bahnhöfe der Linie U8 wurde diese Station nach einem Entwurf von Rainer G. Rümmler errichtet.
